Mike Burness, CEO of Valu-Lens has been in senior leadership role for many years at multi-national corporations, PE held entities, and family-owned companies. His key talent is transforming his functional areas into competitive advantage. Whether it be quality, product safety, regulatory affairs, food defense, business continuity, crisis management, etc., Mike directly links the function to the overall company strategy, enabling growth and development of both the business and his teams.

 

Mike started his career at the Campbell Soup Company and has held increasing leadership / executive roles at PepsiCo, Chiquita Brands International (as a Corporate Executive Officer), Godiva Chocolatier, and most recently, Arxada. 

 

His passion for people driving business, developing people, and transforming culture is what drives him and evokes his passion.

 

Mike was a member of the American Society for Quality and held an ASQ – Certified Manager of Quality & Organizational Excellence, Certified Quality Engineer, and Certified Quality Auditor.  Mike is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Quality Magazine and on the Seton Hall University Board for Transformation in Leadership.  

 

He is a native of New Jersey and a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in Biology.  Mike also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.
